The Proposed Extension to the Carrigarierk Wind Farm will be located approximately 3.5 km south of Inchigeelagh. The purpose of this website is to inform the local community of this proposal. This development will contribute to achieving the countries renewable energy targets and assist in reducing Ireland’s dependency on fossil fuels. The Proposed Development will generate direct and indirect local jobs and provide investment in the area through local authority rates / contributions.
A Community Benefit Fund will be made available to fund local initiatives as decided by the local community.
